Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has thanked the Center to permit the production of ethanol from surplus paddy secured from farmers in the state, referring to that the move will help cultivators, an authority said on Wednesday.
In a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the chief minister likewise expressed gratitude toward the Center for fixing the pace of rice-based ethanol production at Rs 54.87 per liter, the authority from the Public Relation office said.
"So as to satisfy focuses under the National Biofuels Policy 2018, the Chhattisgarh government had been pursuing throughout the previous year and a half to get consent for production of ethanol from surplus paddy delivered in the state," Baghel stated in the letter.
The Center has fixed the pace of ethanol production from rice gave through Food Corporation of India (FCI) stockroom by fuel dispersion organizations, he stated, including that the state government was thankful for the choice.
The chief minister additionally asked the Center to permit ethanol production straightforwardly from surplus paddy secured in the state, referring to that the move will support farmers.
As of now, the Center has chosen to utilize a surplus supply of rice accessible with the FCI for production of ethanol, he said.
