  Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) is centered around improving forest quality and expanding tree spread for boosting carbon stock.", said the Union Environment Minister, Shri Prakash Javadekarat the States Forest Minister's Conference held in New Delhi. Minister of State in the Environment Ministry, Shri Babul Supriyo, different authorities in the Ministry, Chief Ministers of the State of Arunachal Pradesh and Goa, Deputy Chief Ministers and 24 Forest Ministers from different States took an interest in the four-hour long meeting held through video conferencing. 

Shri Javadekar tending to the meeting said that, "We have taken numerous activities to bring out groundbreaking changes in our strategies and projects and actualize a few plans which incorporates monstrous tree estate, advancing urban forestry through Nagar Van Scheme, Landscape based catchment treatment of 13 significant streams, LiDAR based overview of debased forest zones for soil dampness protection projects and dispatch of National Transit Portal to encourage smooth development of Forest produce." 


These endeavors are basic to meet our national and universal objectives under National Forest Policy, Nationally Determined Commitments and reclamation of debased forest land, said Shri Javadekar. 

Leader Shri Narendra Modi in his autonomy day discourse had declared the dispatch of Project Lion and Project Dolphin. The Union Environment Minister said that the legislature will dispatch an all encompassing Project Dolphin in a fortnight, for the preservation and assurance of the Dolphins in the streams and in expanses of the nation.
