All India Weather Forecast for Next 4 Days ; IMD



Significant Weather Features ;
♦ A Low Pressure Area lies over eastcentral Arabian Sea and associated cyclonic circulation extends upto 4.5 km above mean sea level. It is very likely to become Well Marked Low Pressure Area during next 36 hours and is likely to intensify into Depression during subsequent 24 hours. It is likely to initially move north-northeastwards over eastcentral Arabian Sea till 24th October and then recurve west-northwestwards towards Oman-Yemen coasts with gradual intensification.
 ♦ Another Low Pressure Area is likely to form over southwest & adjoining westcentral Bay of Bengal off north Tamilnadu and south Andhra Pradesh coasts around 23rd October.
 ♦ Fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with isolated heavy falls likely over peninsular India during next 4-5 days. Heavy to very heavy rainfall also likely over Kerala & Mahe and Tamilnadu, Puducherry & Karaikal during next 3-4 days and over Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Coastal & North Interior Karnataka during subsequent 2 days. Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning very likely over parts of south peninsular India and Maharashtra state during next 3 days.

21 October (Day 1):

 ♦ Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely at isolated places over Tamilnadu, Puducherry & Karaikal and Kerala & Mahe and Heavy Rainfall at isolated places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

♦ Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning very likely at isolated places over Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Konkan & Goa, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Karnataka, Tamilnadu, Puducherry & Karaikal and Kerala & Mahe.

 ♦ Squally weather very likely over Eastcentral, Southeast Arabian Sea & adjoining Lakshadweep areas, Southwest Bay of Bengal & adjoining comorin area and Maharashtra- Karnataka-Kerala coasts. Fishermen are advised not to venture into these areas.

 22 October (Day 2):

 ♦ Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely at isolated places over Tamilnadu, Puducherry & Karaikal and Kerala & Mahe and Heavy Rainfall at isolated places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

 ♦ Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning very likely at isolated places over Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Konkan & Goa, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Karnataka, Tamilnadu, Puducherry & Karaikal and Kerala & Mahe.

 23 October (Day 3):

 ♦ Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely at isolated places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Coastal & North Interior Karnataka and Tamilnadu, Puducherry & Karaikal and Heavy Rainfall at isolated places over Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan & Goa, Telangana, Rayalaseema, South Interior Karnataka and Kerala & Mahe.

♦Thunderstorm accompanied with Hail & lightning very likely at isolated places over Jammu & Kashmir.

 24 October (Day 4): ♦ Heavy to very heavy rainfall likely at isolated places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Coastal & North Interior Karnataka and Heavy Rainfall at isolated places over Odisha, Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan & Goa, Telangana, Tamilnadu, Puducherry & Karaikal, Kerala & Mahe and South Interior Karnataka.

 ♦Thunderstorm accompanied with Hail & lightning very likely at isolated places over Jammu & Kashmir.

 ♦ The cyclonic circulation over Comorin area & neighbourhood extending upto 1.5 km above mean sea level persists.
 ♦ The trough of low at mean sea level from above cyclonic circulation to north Coastal Andhra Pradesh across Tamilnadu coast persists.
 ♦ The Western Disturbance as a cyclonic circulation over Jammu & Kashmir & neighbourhood between 3.1 & 4.5 km above mean sea level persists.
♦ A fresh Western Disturbance is likely to affect Western Himalayan region from 22nd October
 The cyclonic circulation over East Uttar Pradesh & neighbourhood between 1.5 km & 2.1 km above mean sea level persists.
 ♦ The cyclonic circulation over east Assam & neighbourhood extending upto 1.5 km above mean sea level persists.
