17 July (Day 5):
♦Heavy rainfall at isolated places likely over Uttarakhand, Punjab, north Haryana & Chandigarh, West Uttar Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Konkan & Goa, Kerala, Tamilnadu, Puducherry & Karaikal, Rayalaseema, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and Coastal & South Interior Karnataka

Weather Outlook for subsequent 2 days from 18th July 2019 to 20th July 2019
Enhanced rainfall activity over south peninsula and East India with fairly widespread to widespread rainfall and isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall over Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and parts of Maharashtra, south Odisha and south Chhattisgarh.
♦ Fairly widespread to widespread rainfall likely over Western Himalayan Region, northern plains and northeastern states.
♦ Isolated to scattered rainfall likely over rest of the country.
Significant Weather Features
The cyclonic circulation over Northeast Uttar Pradesh and adjoining Bihar is now seen as a trough in westerlies between 3.1 & 4.5 km above mean sea level roughly along Long. 87°E to the north of Lat. 24°N.
♦ The Seasonal trough runs close to the foothills of the Himalayas. The other branch of it runs from Northeast Bihar to Northeast Bay of Bengal across Jharkhand and Gangetic West Bengal.
♦ Widespread rainfall with heavy to very heavy & isolated Extremely heavy falls are likely to continue over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim and Assam & Meghalaya during next 48 hours and decrease thereafter.Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to continue over northern parts of Bihar during next 24 hours and decrease thereafter. However, the foothills of the Himalayas are likely to experience very heavy rainfall during next 2-3 days.
♦ Fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy falls are also likely over Uttarakhand and northern parts of Uttar Pradesh during next 3 days and over Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir and Northern most parts of Haryana & Chandigarh, Punjab mainly during next 2-3 days.
♦ Subdued rainfall activity is likely to continue over Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Interior Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana during next 4-5 days.
