Legendary Indian cricketer MS Dhoni likely to become the model ambassador of Jharkhand Agriculture
Dhoni, who has already taken an inclination towards farming (such as growing organic fruits and vegetables on almost a 10-acre land in his 43-acre farmhouse in Ranchi), has put Jharkhand on the map together with his all-round heroics as a national cricketer from 2004-2020. Donning various roles within the India jersey, like a wicketkeeper, finisher, captain, the 39-year-old is now being looked upon as a task model for farmers in his native state.
State Agriculture Minister Badal Patralekh, following the top of a review meeting with the officials, made it clear to the journalists that his department will soon meet Dhoni and offer him a proposal.
“Being born and mentioned in Jharkhand, the State has the proper over the previous cricket captain. he's committed to the State, and thus, we would like Dhoni to become the brand ambassador of our agricultural products,” said the minister
According to Patralekh, Dhoni's inclusion within the agricultural sector are going to be a huge step and act as a source of inspiration among youths that even the educated minds can adopt agriculture as a profession.
“It is basically commendable that despite being educated and successful, Mahendra Singh Dhoni opted for farming as his post-retirement profession. Dhoni, who may be a superstar and pride for the state, could have easily chosen another profession but he adopted farming,” said the minister. "It shows how committed he's toward his home state, he added.
