ALL INDIA WEATHER SUMMARY AND FORECAST ; IMD


Significant Weather Features;

 A low pressure area is likely to form over Southeast Arabian Sea & adjoining Lakshadweep area during next 24 hours and it is likely to become more marked during subsequent 24 hours.
 ♦ Under the influence of an active easterly wave, fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy falls very likely over Tamilnadu, Puducherry & Karaikal, Kerala & Mahe and Lakshadweep during next 3 days.
♦ Dense fog very likely during morning hours in isolated pockets over Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh,, Assam & Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura and over plains of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand during next 24 hours.
 ♦ A low pressure area lies over Equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining Southwest Arabian Sea with associated cyclonic circulation extending upto 5.8 km above mean sea level tilting southwestwards with height persists. It is likely to move west-northwestwards and become more marked during next 48 hours.

30 November (Day 1):

♦ Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning very likely at isolated places over South Interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema, Kerala & Mahe, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Tamilnadu, Puducherry & Karaikal and Lakshadweep.
♦ Dense fog very likely in isolated pockets over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Assam & Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura.
 ♦ Heavy rainfall at a few places with very heavy falls at isolated places very likely over Tamilnadu, Puducherry & Karaikal and heavy rainfall at isolated places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Rayalaseema and Kerala & Mahe and Lakshadweep.
 ♦ Squally weather (wind speed 40-50 kmph) likely to prevail over southwest Arabian Sea & adjoining Equatorial Indian Ocean and over Comorin area, Maldives & adjoining Lakshadweep area. Fishermen are advised not to venture into these areas.

 01 December (Day 2):

 ♦ Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning very likely at isolated places over Rayalaseema, Coastal & South Interior Karnataka, Kerala & Mahe, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Tamilnadu, Puducherry & Karaikal and Lakshadweep.
♦ Dense fog very likely in isolated pockets over Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Assam & Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura.
♦ Heavy rainfall at a few places with very heavy falls at isolated places very likely over Tamilnadu, Puducherry & Karaikal; Heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over South Interior Karnataka, Kerala & Mahe and Lakshadweep and heavy rainfall at isolated places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and Rayalaseema.
♦ Squally weather (wind speed 40-50 kmph) likely to prevail over southwest Arabian Sea & adjoining Equatorial Indian Ocean and over Lakshadweep & adjoining Maldives area & Southeast Arabian Sea along & off Kerala coast. Fishermen are advised not to venture into these areas.

 02 December (Day 3):

 ♦ Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning very likely at isolated places over Rayalaseema, Coastal & South Interior Karnataka, Kerala & Mahe, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Tamilnadu, Puducherry & Karaikal and Lakshadweep.
♦ Dense fog very likely in isolated pockets over Uttar Pradesh.
 ♦ Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely at isolated places over Kerala & Mahe and Lakshadweep and heavy rainfall at isolated places over Tamilnadu, Puducherry & Karaikal and Coastal & South Interior Karnataka.
 ♦ Squally weather (wind speed 45-55 kmph gusting to 65 kmph) likely to prevail over southwest Arabian Sea & adjoining Equatorial Indian Ocean and over Lakshadweep & adjoining Maldives area & Southeast Arabian Sea along & off Kerala & Karnataka coast. Fishermen are advised not to venture into these areas.

03 December (Day 4):

 ♦ Heavy rainfall likely at isolated places over Tamilnadu, Puducherry & Karaikal.
 ♦ Squally weather (wind speed 50-60 kmph gusting to 70 kmph) likely to prevail over southwest Arabian Sea & adjoining Equatorial Indian Ocean and over Southeast & adjoining eastcentral Arabian Sea along & off Karnataka coast. Fishermen are advised not to venture into these areas.

 04 December (Day 5):

 ♦ Heavy rainfall likely at isolated places over Tamilnadu, Puducherry & Karaikal. ♦ Squally weather (wind speed 50-60 kmph gusting to 70 kmph) likely to prevail over southwest Arabian Sea & adjoining Equatorial Indian Ocean and over Eastcentral & adjoining southeast Arabian Sea. Fishermen are advised not to venture into these areas.
