Weather Warning during next 5 days ;IMD


27 July (Day 1):
♦ Heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few places with extremely heavy falls very likely at isolated places over Konkan & Goa; Heavy to very heavy rainfall with extremely heavy falls at isolated places over Madhya Maharashtra, Gujarat region and East Rajasthan; Heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka, West Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, West Rajasthan and Odisha and heavy rainfall at isolated places over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Telangana, East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, Assam & Meghalaya and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
 ♦ Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning very likely at isolated places over Bihar and Jharkhand. ♦ Strong winds, speed reaching 40-50 kmph, are likely to prevail over westcentral & adjoining southwest Arabian Sea, North Arabian Sea and northwest & westcentral Bay of Bengal. Rough to very Rough sea conditions are very likely to prevail along & off GujaratMaharashtra Coasts. Fishermen are advised not to venture into these areas.
28 July (Day 2):
♦ Heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few places with extremely heavy falls very likely at isolated places over Konkan & Goa and Gujarat region; Heavy to very heavy rainfall with extremely heavy falls at isolated places over Madhya Maharashtra and East Rajasthan; Heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over West Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and West Rajasthan and heavy rainfall at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Telangana, Marathawada, Saurashtra & Kutch, Vidarbha, Odisha, Jharkhand and Gangetic West Bengal.

 ♦ Strong winds, speed reaching 40-50 kmph, are likely to prevail over westcentral & adjoining southwest Arabian Sea, North Arabian Sea and westcentral Bay of Bengal.  29 July (Day 3):
 ♦ Heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few places with extremely heavy falls very likely at isolated places over Gujarat; Heavy to very heavy rainfall with extremely heavy falls at isolated places over Konkan & Goa; Heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over Madhya Maharashtra and heavy rainfall at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Odisha, Assam & Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura.
 ♦ Strong winds, speed reaching 40-50 kmph, are likely to prevail over westcentral & adjoining southwest Arabian Sea, North Arabian Sea. Rough to very Rough sea conditions are very likely to prevail along & off Gujarat Coast. Fishermen are advised not to venture into these areas.
30 July (Day 4):
 ♦ Heavy to very heavy rainfall with extremely heavy falls likely at isolated places over Saurashtra & Kutch; Heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over Konkan & Goa and Gujarat region and heavy rainfall at isolated places over Uttarakhand, East Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Coastal Karnataka, Madhya Maharashtra, Assam & Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura.
 ♦ Strong winds, speed reaching 40-50 kmph, are likely to prevail over westcentral & adjoining southwest Arabian Sea, North Arabian Sea. Rough to very Rough sea conditions are very likely to prevail along & off Gujarat Coast. Fishermen are advised not to venture into these areas.
31July (Day 5):
♦ Heavy to very heavy rainfall likely at isolated places over Chhattisgarh and heavy rainfall at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, West Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Odisha, Coastal Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Konkan & Goa and Madhya Maharashtra.
 ♦ Strong winds, speed reaching 40-50 kmph, are likely to prevail over westcentral & adjoining southwest Arabian Sea, North Arabian Sea. Rough to very Rough sea conditions are very likely to prevail along & off Gujarat Coast. Fishermen are advised not to venture into these areas.

Significant Weather Features;

♦ The Low Pressure Area now lies over Jharkhand and adjoining Gangetic West Bengal. The monsoon trough continues to pass along its near normal position and is active with two embedded cyclonic circulations, one over northwest Madhya Pradesh and adjoining East Rajasthan and the other one associated with the Low Pressure Area.
 ♦ Also a fresh Low Pressure Area is likely to form over northwest Bay of Bengal & neighbourhood around 31st July.
 ♦ Under the above scenario, the southwest monsoon is very likely to remain active over central & adjoining south peninsular India, Rajasthan and Gujarat during next 3 days. Fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy falls are likely over Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan, Gujarat and Rajasthan during next 2 days. Isolated extremely heavy falls are also likely over Konkan, East Rajasthan and Gujarat during next 2-3 days.
