Bhubaneswar: The MeT department has warned of heavy rain in Odisha in the next two days due to the formation of a fresh low-pressure area over Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood. The low pressure, formed over northwest Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood under the influence of a cyclonic circulation, is likely to trigger heavy rains in many parts of Odisha till August 21, the Meteorological Centre here said. Under its impact, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to take place at one or two places over Malkangiri, Koraput, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Ganjam, Gajapati, Puri, Balangir, Nuapada, Sambalpur, Nabarangpur, Balasore, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts, it said.
